SHIMANO DEORE XT M8100 wheels bring robust performance to any trail. The aluminum tubeless rims are offset for balanced spoke tension. Double butted, straight-pull spokes are laced to Center-Lock disc hubs with reliable, smooth-rolling labyrinth seal hubs.

High-quality XC Tubeless Boost Wheel: XT WH-M8100-TL from Shimano

The new DEORE XT M8100 series also includes two complete wheel sets for XC and Trail/Enduro, both in 29″ and 27.5″. The XC wheels have 24 mm wide, fully enclosed tubeless-ready rims for tyres up to 2.35. The 28 double-butted straight pull spokes provide a balance of stiffness and light weight for fast XC use.

The Trail/Enduro wheels, on the other hand, have a 30mm rim, ready for tyres up to 2.6mm. The 28 J-bend aluminium rims keep the weight of these tubeless wheels low, while at the same time being stiff and robust enough to withstand the toughest trail or downhill use. Both the XC and the Trail/Enduro wheels are equipped with E-THRU axles (front 15 mm, rear 12 mm), have boost installation widths and of course SHIMANO’s MICRO SPLINE freewheel body.

Cup & Cone Bearing

Angular contact bearings of the cup & cone type offer greater strength than sealed cartridge industrial bearings due their ability to displace lateral and vertical loads more effectively for super smooth rotation and longer durability. Angular contact bearings also allow easier maintenance, adjustability and serviceability.

Center Lock System

The CENTER LOCK system makes an easy rotor installation possible with spline mount and a lock ring. The lock ring mounting system reduces the total working hours by shortening the amount of time of both installation and de-installation. In addition, the secure fixing by the spline mount enhances precision and rigidity while improving braking efficiency.
