All STI Dual Controler feature an 18mm higher brake lever pivot axis, a curved lever shape and non-slip textures on the contact surfaces for optimum grip even in the roughest terrain.

For the integration of drop seat posts in the Gravel segment, SHIMANO specially developed the hydraulic STI lever ST-RX810-LA, which, mounted on the left-hand side, uses the sideways movement of the lever not required for shifting in 1-speed systems to operate the seat post. The integrated traction system is designed for a 9 mm stroke and therefore works with most common dropper posts. The STI lineup of the GRX family is complemented by the 1×11-speed RX800 and RX600 STIs for the left without switching or DSP functionality, including the 1×11 Di2 version (ST-RX815), whose three switches (two on the side and one on the top of the cap) can be used to operate 3rd devices such as compatible lights or computers.

When you pull a SERVOWAVE brake lever, initial pad travel is fast, so little lever movement is needed to bring the pads into contact with the rotor.
