The SHIMANO ALIVIO SL-M3100 shift lever provides responsive rear shifting for 2 x 9-speed mountain bike drivetrains. The RAPIDFIRE PLUS lever is suited to quick shifting, giving riders the ability to downshift three gears in one stroke. The RAPIDFIRE PLUS MONO lever features 2WAY-RELEASE, which allows for relief shifts by either pull of the index finger or push of the thumb.

The SHIMANO ALIVIO M3100 2 x 9-speed or 3 x 9-speed drivetrains receive new updated shifters and derailleurs. SHIMANO ALIVIO utilizes Shimano hallmark technologies including SHIMANO SHADOW RD derailleurs and RAPIDFIRE PLUS / RAPIDFIRE PLUS MONO technology in the left shifter to simplify the riding experience. New SHIMANO ALIVIO M3100 utilizes HG shifting for smooth gear changes.
